Angela Capanna is an odd one, by her own admission. While most young women in their early 20s tend to focus their attention toward partying, shopping or going out, the budding personal chef is perfectly happy at home, whipping together meals or planning her next move.

“I’d rather stay at home and come up with a business plan. I guess I’m a little bit of nerd in that sense,” the 23-year-old township resident said.

Sometimes, a great idea begins as a dilemma.

Around this time three years ago, Angela Rose Capanna realized her wallet was stolen. Then, a good chunk of her bank account went missing, too. When her dreams of holiday shopping started to fizzle, her parents suggested she start selling her baked goods to raise some fast cash.

“I wound up selling 95 pies that Thanksgiving,” the Turnersville resident said. A new business was born. …
