“I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Angela last December at a Holiday Appetizer cooking demonstration class that she taught at the American Table in Collingswood. It was such an informative and enjoyable class that I reached out to her this Spring to setup a private cooking class in my home for a Women’s only meetup group that I organize. Chef Angela was extremely professional and responsive to my numerous emails and phone calls but what really impressed me was how flexible she was in the process of planning our event. She spent a lot of energy tailoring the class specifically to our needs and culinary interests. In addition, Chef Angela also handled a last minute request to make changes to the menu with grace and kindness and that meant a lot to the woman attending the class with special dietary needs as she was given her own separate appetizers so that she was not left out of the class entirely. The class itself was fantastic, we did a summer entertaining menu to get ready for this upcoming season of BBQs and outdoor parties. We were provided with written recipes and also got the opportunity to see each step of the process/ask questions along the way. Similar to her holiday class, we all left with a massive repertoire of tips, techniques and tricks for executing the class specific appetizers but also just great general information to use for future parties. Chef was of course very organized, punctual and left my kitchen exactly how it was before her arrival—she even took all of the trash she generated with her when she left! Lastly, what motivated me to invite her to teach a class to our group was the way that Chef Angela puts you at ease and makes food approachable for people of all cooking skill levels and most importantly it was fun —that I think is the best attribute of Chef Angela, she made everyone inspired to try all of these recipes in their own home and that’s the sign of a great Chef and a great teacher.”
