I have to start by saying that I’ve never met Angela and I’ve never tasted her cooking. That being said, I can’t recommend her more highly. I’ll explain; back in July, my 78 year old father fell to the floor while eating breakfast. He was taken to the hospital and his glucose level was at almost 400, off the charts high. He was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. He also has early signs of Parkinson’s disease. I have been coaching him for over a year on what to eat and what not to eat, but since neither he nor his wife cook, his diet was sporadic and poor. I knew he needed a stable source of low carb/Paleo food that he could reach for instead of chips and cookies. Since I live in Florida, I took to the internet and was lucky enough to find Angela.
Angela has been preparing my father’s meals for just over a month now. He is back to work (he’ll never retire) for the first time in almost two months and his glucose levels are stabilizing right around 100. He absolutely loves the food even though he really doesn’t know what has carbs and what doesn’t (he was found eating pretzels and said, “What? Pretzels don’t have carbs.”). He also enjoyed her company very much while she was cooking, although he’s back to work now. And while not eliminated, his Parkinson’s symptoms are beginning to diminish slightly.
A stable, high quality diet of readily available foods has made all the difference. Angela’s cooking skills are exceeded only by her knowledge of food and diet’s affect on overall health. She’s intelligent, trustworthy, and a very kind person. Very Highly Recommended.
I can’t wait until I’m up in NJ so I can try her food, I hear it’s amazing.
