I come from a big extended family, on both my Dad and Mom’s sides; sadly, years will go by without seeing some of my relatives, especially cousins, and learning what they are up to. As unfortunate as it may be, on the flip side to that, after a few years have gone by without seeing family, it is fun to hear about what your now adult cousins are doing with their lives! Which brings me to this post. This past year I found out that my third cousin, Kimmy Padula Trautner, is the studio artist AND owner of No One Alike. Kimmy is a “marbling artist”; she marbles one- of-kind, custom leathers, candles, jewelry….just to name a few, and not ONE of them are alike – hence the name!
Recently, I was SO very surprised to find my very own, handcrafted chef’s knife delivered right to my doorstep! With a beautiful, marbled maple burl handle, and SHARP Damascus steel blade and mosaic copper and brass knife pins, the detailing is INSANE.
The knife is an all-purpose chef’s knife; this knife is sharp, not for beginner choppers for sure! Heavy enough to cut through a thick cut of meat, yet not too heavy for veggies. Kimmy also offers oyster-shucking knives, hunting knives, Nakiri knives (great for all you veggie lovers) and more – basically you can purchase your own, one of a kind, knife set!
No One Alike is located in Clarksville Georgia, but lucky for you all, you can order online. Go to https://no1alike.com/ to see all of Kim’s amazing creations and have your handcrafted gem of choice delivered right to your doorstep. You must check out (and follow/like) No One Alike on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/noonealike/ so you can see the master creator, Kimmy, in action! I can tell you that any purchase you make, that you will not be disappointed, you can see and feel the love in Kim’s work. The quality is exceptional, and with every purchase you will be supporting a small business – which you KNOW I am alllll about!!
Kimmy, thank you SO much for the awesome knife! It is almost too beautiful to use – almost, but it cuts way too well to use for display only. 🙂
