Why you need a Personal Chef

Hollywood Chef Angela Some people have the misconception that having a personal chef is unnecessary or even a lavish luxury for the rich and famous. Little do they know, it is quite the contrary, and that hiring a personal chef is actually a very practical idea. I love my clients dearly, but they aren’t famous celebrities. I mean after all, I am cooking in the Delaware Valley, not in Hollywood, dahling!

Here are some reasons that you need a personal chef in your life:

Convenience

Are you someone who agonizes over planning weekly dinners? This is a big issue for many of my friends, and in fact, one of my closest friends has an ongoing group text with her sisters and mom solely for the purpose of swapping dinner ideas. She complains often that two (or more) heads aren’t necessarily better than one, because there are lots of weeks in which the five of them can’t think of anything other than the same old dinners they usually make.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have your dinners planned for you, to your specific likes and dislikes?

Even if you plan your dinners quickly, you might fall victim to the Grocery Store Twilight Zone, especially if you shop on nights or weekends. Have you ever gone to the grocery store on Sunday, and it is so chaotically crowded Angela Grocery Shopping that it takes FOREVERRRRRR to get out of there? Yes, you may be a modern shopper and opt for “shop from home” services, but that too has its pitfalls. Family and friends have complained that it takes almost the same amount of time to place an order online as it does to go to the store and shop. It is nice to “shop” from your couch, but what happens when you can’t pick up your order the day and time you want to, or even worse, the store is out of the items you’ve requested? Yeah, this “convenient” service can end up having some majorly inconvenient drawbacks.

The positive? These problems disappear with a personal chef. With a personal chef, your role is simple: Respond to my email with the proposed weekly menu and then sit back and enjoy the food that magically appeared in your fridge or freezer. You save so much time and hassle because you don’t have to worry about planning, shopping, prepping, or of course, cooking. I do it all for you!

Customized Menu

Chef Angelas CookbookTrying to lose weight? Does your spouse have a food allergy? Are your kids the pickiest eaters on the planet? Let’s face it, you may all live under one roof, but your taste buds and dietary restrictions might be on different planets! This can make planning and cooking even more of a daunting task than normal! With me as your personal chef, you no longer have to worry about that. Once you’ve filled out a food assessment, I take care of everything. I will make sure that your menu meets everyone’s needs and likes!

Healthier Food

Angela CookingHow many of you go to bed each night promising yourself that tomorrow will be the day you stay on track with healthy eating? The next thing you know, it’s lunchtime at work and you order greasy takeout to save time so you can meet those deadlines. Not an issue with a personal chef. When I cook your meals, I can package them in individualized to-go containers, which are great to take with you when you are on the go. Having food prepared and on hand in your fridge will greatly decrease your urges to order takeout, and there’s one thing that no one can argue: home-cooked meals will ALWAYS be healthier than takeout meals. Another bonus: you always know the exact ingredients in your dishes! (And they come from the grocery store, not a chemical factory!) Of course, they will be delicious too!

Saves Money

Have you fallen victim to the vicious cycle of eating out or ordering takeout almost daily? I think we can all agree that we are BUSY!! Work, kids, afterschool activities, family, friends, etc. No matter how different our lives may look, we all seem to take on too much. It is just too tempting to call up and order some food, or even worse, dash through the drive-thru (yikes!).

Dollar SignYou may not realize it, but you are probably spending a TON of money on food. Or maybe you don’t eat out a lot, but you might be guilty of overspending at the store. You had 7 items on your list, but somehow you leave the store with double that or even more! So many clients have told me that they found they had all the best intentions to meal plan and grocery shop accordingly, but then the busy work weeks kicks into full gear, and they found themselves at the end of week, not only wasting food (by throwing away food that had perished) but also wasting their hard-earned money.

When I cook for you, I shop for you, which eliminates all those scenarios. Also, I buy only what is needed to make your meals that week, and will stick to a budget.

I’ve really only scratched the surface of the many benefits of having a PC. From fulfilling a need, like needing to eating a very specific way due to a health condition or an allergy, to just wanting to treat yourself to some wholesome, home-cooked meals a few times throughout the year (yes, that IS a thing, just utilizing my services on as needed basis, aka “as craves/wants basis” lol), having a chef handle all things food related is not Chef Angela Rose Capannaonly time-saver, but to many, a life saver.

To me, being your personal chef is truly an honor, for you to allow me to take control of what goes into your body, is truly a privilege that I do not take lightly; however, I do like to make sure that you are eating hearty without the headache!!  PURPLE HEART
