Recipe of the Week: Frannie’s BBQ Ribs

Posted & filed under Recipes.

My Mom’s best friend Frannie, who was also like a second mother to me, gave us this recipe a while back. Frannie passed away a couple of years ago and I like to cook her recipes to remind me of her. She enjoyed cooking just as much as I did. She always took great interest in my business and was always encouraging me and sending me recipes. This recipe is super easy and only has four ingredients. Try it and let me know how you like them! They are so tender and delicious, a real crowd pleaser. They freeze well too!

Ingredients

2 racks of pork ribs

2 bottles of BBQ sauce (homemade or store bought)

12 ounce bottle of spaghetti sauce

1 cup of sugar – (I prefer a little less sugar – about 1/4 cup – Frannie liked things sweet!)

Directions

  1. Place ribs in a large roasting pan (I use disposable for easy clean up)
  2. Mix BBQ sauce, spaghetti sauce and sugar together and pour over ribs
  3. Cover with tin foil
  4. Cook for 6 hours at 250 degrees or 8 hours at 225 degrees
